During each semi-final, the judges narrowed down the acts to a top three and then each voted to chose one act to go through to the grand final in October, announced during the Saturday night shows.
The remaining seven acts that performed that night will still be in for a chance to secure a spot in the final — the public voted for their favourite by phone, text or through the BGT app.
The winners of the public vote from all the semi-finals will be announced on the day of the final. There will be 10 finalists overall, with five acts chosen by the judges and five more joining them from the public vote.
